Recently on Forbes I was interviewed about the kind of soft skills necessary to be a better marketer. Here’s what I said:

Be Humble. Humility is the absence of pride and arrogance. Being humble is not being weak or self-loathing. It’s having the freedom to be curious, grateful and open. When we learn to be humble, our ability to communicate improves because we foster the creation of an environment of empathy and compassion. We listen andĀ begin to hear more than just what is said.

You can read about the other 13 soft skills from other marketing executives here on Forbes.
